SEEDS is proud to be a green-collar employer! We believe that connecting environmental action to employment is a powerful way to generate big impacts. We specialize in providing local jobs, including for individuals as young as 16. We provide accessible ways for career explorers to learn about the green-collar trades we need to heal the planet.
SEEDS EcoCorps, inspired by the Civilian Conservation Corps model, has hired over 500 crew leaders and members over the years, many of them for multiple seasons! Each member receives training in practical skills while simultaneously completing needed projects in the community.

In the field with EcoCorps today
EcoCorps offers a diverse range of training opportunities to meet evolving needs.
While traditional conservation corps projects like trail building, habitat restoration, and historic preservation remain at our core, in 2023 we increased our regenerative agricultural practices by scaling our composting activities.
Last year also saw remarkable growth for our Wood Rescue initiative.
By using trees and wood that is rescued from the landfill or the chipper, we are providing our crews with essential carpentry skills by having them craft furniture and other wood products.
This initiative also helps us offset our greenhouse gas emissions by valuing and retaining the carbon sequestered by these trees.
With a diverse and growing set of partners and clients, we are increasingly able to keep work crews busy year-round, offering more opportunities for EcoCorps members to explore, learn, and experience.
